Blueberries a fun treat

Blueberries are indeed a great treat. It is full antioxidants, which are great for your heart health, fighting off some forms of cancer, boosting your immune system, the list goes on and on. It protects against aging, lowers blood pressure and makes a very good low calorie snack.

Recently, I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes by my doctor. I've been working on turning it all around with a restricted diet (no starches, high fructose corn syrup or sugar) Just been eating meats, veggies, some fruits. My family and I decided to grow a garden because most of the stuff in the supermarket is poison. It is either riddle with high fructose corn syrup and other ingredients humans or animals shouldn't be consuming. I am writing my blog to inspire others to grow their own food.

Remember you don't have to live in the country to grow your own food. It is nothing to grow a few things in a container. Here is something I grow in a container and makes a tasty salad.

Swiss Chard

 Swiss Chard is a great plant to grow in a container. Another great thing about this plant you don't have to wait for it to reach full maturity to eat it. You can eat as soon as the leaves get the size as the ones shown in the picture. It makes a tasty salad raw at this size. When you clip the leaves they grow back. When they reach maternity, cut them and try putting them in a stir fry.
